Abstract

Test cases have high impact on adequacy and efficiency of software testing. In Indus-try different types of software testing techniques are in use like black box, white box, functional, performance, security, reliability, usability, smoke, regression etc. Per-forming all these types of testing is impossible as the time is always fixed. With the idea of generating test cases covering all the different types of testing techniques, we investigated different research papers for any open-source tool for automated test case generation. Specmate is an open-source tool which is available online and easy to work with as it involves generation on test cases from state transition diagrams.
