Dr. Sallam Abualhaija did her PhD in computational linguistics (2016) at Hamburg University of Technology (Germany) on solving Word Sense Disambiguation using bio-inspired optimisation methods. In 2016, she worked as a post-doc at L3S research centre in Hannover, where she focused on social media analysis during crises within “krisenkommunikation in social Netzwerke”; a joint project in cooperation with different relief organisations in Germany. Currently, she is working as a Research Associate at SnT in Luxembourg and has been leading several tasks in multiple international projects on requirements quality assurance, and data mining from legal texts. Her main research interests lie within the fields of Applied Natural Language Processing, Data Mining and Machine Learning.
